Music is a vital part of worship at Advent Lutheran Church as a ministry of the Word of God. In our services, the purpose of music-making is intended to support congregational singing; enhance the scripture and liturgy; express the word of God found in the Bible; and support the preaching and confessing of God's Word. Our music is dedicated to directing to God the attention of all who participate and hear. Participation in music ministry is open to all ages, and includes vocal and instrumental opportunities.

Children's Hand Chime

The Children's Hand Chime Group meets weekly for practice. Children in 1st-5th grade are invited to learn the proper ringing technique, an introduction to music reading, and a chance to have fun in this creative group activity. The goal is to have the children's hand chime support worship about once a month by playing a piece they have learned.
